Description
Mija with Dantiez b2n King Saaidi + Shameless
Event Details
Mija embodies the innovative West Coast approach to electronic music culture, fun and emotional, futuristic and experimental.
With roots in traditional house music, Mija has since established herself as a DJ and Producer without label.
Through genre-redefining mixtapes and bass-driven productions built for international dance floors and the biggest of festival stages, the Los Angeles-based artist is in complete control of her narrative, pushing herself into unchartered territories with ease and enthusiasm.
Since 2014, her energetic performances have been felt at every major festival in North America, from Bonnaroo (in the form of a serendipitous b2b with none other than Skrillex) to Ultra, Coachella to EDC, TomorrowWorld, Dirtybird Campout, and beyond. Her dancefloor-oriented productions, like the infectious party starter and Lil Jon featured ‘Crank It,’ can be found on the likes of OWSLA, Insomniac, Capitol Records, and Kitsune Musique.
While eclectic long players like 2018’s How to Measure the Distance Between Lovers and 202’s Desert Trash have found support across the musical mediascape, with particular interest coming from Pitchfork, The Fader, and Vice.
On August 5, MeanRed x Supply and Demand invites this gravity-shifting talent to Detroit with Dantiez and King Saaidi + Shameless for a special event at the Tangent Gallery.
